The common thread which has developed over the past four decades of dramatic growth has been a demand for quality of life centered around the family. And even today, with its population continuing to grow closer and closer to the 100,000 mark, Broken Arrow has maintained its focus on the safety of its residents. In 2004 and again in 2005 and 2006 Broken Arrow was rated the “Safest City In Oklahoma,” and ranked 20th in the entire nation based on crime figures for cities of more than 75,000 in population. That rating is far ahead of any other state cities in that population range.
The record of safety has contributed to another major honor earned by Broken Arrow during the past year. MONEY Magazine selected the community as one of the “Best Places to Live in America.” Broken Arrow was listed as No. 66 — the only city in northeastern Oklahoma to be honored.
